Dress for Test Success

Intro to Health. Mrs. Marco

Did you know how you dress the day of the exam may have an impact on your test score?

Recently members of Mrs. Marco’s Intro to Health class took the challenge by dressing up for a recent exam in an effort to give themselves that little extra edge. While there may not be concrete evidence to prove that dressing better automatically guarantees you an A on your exam, there is research which shows that taking the time to select an outfit other than sweats will inspire you to take your testing more seriously. So next time you take that big test here are some simple tips which may help you “test with success”:

Skip the pajama pants or sweats instead dress up your jeans with the addition of a collared shirt, nicer tee or fancy pair of shoes (girls you may opt for a nice pair of dress flats as heels may make for discomfort). You will find these dress options give you added confidence. Adding a cardigan or blazer will bring those jeans up another notch. Also wearing your favorite color is another way to play up your success. These simple tips will make you feel better about yourself by giving you that extra boost of confidence. So next time you have that big test approaching take a few minutes out of your studying time to pick that perfect outfit. You will arrive at that test day feeling more confident and ready to take on the challenge.
