Wilco Announces Scholarship Winners for 2022

Every year Wilco offers a scholarship to one qualifying senior from each of its area high schools for continuing education or work experience in a field related to their Wilco program. The scholarship is for $500 and can cover tuition, books or supplies needed for the higher education course(s) a student will be taking.

Wilco has selected their 2022 scholarship winners. Ten students out of seventy applications have been named recipients of scholarships. Each of the students – Bolingbrook, Isha Patel (12), Lemont, Carrine Collins (12), Lockport, Konrad Dziewulski  (12) not pictured, Nusrat Anwar Plainfield Central,  (12), Plainfield North, Emma-Jo Rodgers (12), Plainfield South, Imelda Rodriguez (12) not pictured, Reed-Custer, Savanna Dodd (12), Romeoville, Jessica Cecchi (12) not pictured, Wilmington, Madison Berman (12) not pictured and Plainfield East, Fatima Mora Garcia (12) not pictured were selected this year’s recipients. 

Wilco Executive Director, Dr. Elizabeth Kaufman and the Wilco Board of Control honored this year’s recipients and their families on Tuesday, April 19th at Wilco Area Career Center. The applicants did an amazing job and should be proud of their accomplishments!

Wilco Area Career Center, Romeoville, IL, serves nearly 1400 students district wide and offers students career-based courses providing skills required for continuing education and/or employment upon completion.
