Esthetics – Fusion Beauty Academy
This one-year, off-site program provides juniors and seniors with the opportunity to complete 750 hours of state-approved esthetics instruction at Fusion Beauty Academy in Joliet. Students participate in a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on practical experiences designed to prepare them for the Illinois Esthetician Licensing Examination.
Coursework includes skin anatomy and physiology, sanitation and infection control, skin analysis, facial treatments, non-therapeutic massage, hair removal and waxing, professional makeup techniques, eyelash applications, esthetics machines and equipment, product knowledge, professional ethics, business practices, and Illinois laws and regulations.
Students may provide esthetics services to members of the public through a supervised student clinic after successfully completing the required foundational training. Because consistent attendance is essential for completing the state-required instructional hours, students must demonstrate a strong commitment to attendance, professionalism, safety, and participation.
Guidance Notes: This is an off-site program held at Fusion Beauty Academy in Joliet. Students must be at least 16 years old and are responsible for arranging their own transportation. A separate application and approval process is required. Additional student expenses may apply.
Estimated Student Cost: Approximately $10,000–$10,500, including tuition and the nonrefundable registration fee. Additional expenses may apply for supplies, uniforms, transportation, and licensing examinations. Final costs will be confirmed during the application process.
